E oho! Te Whenuatanga o te Tangata: Everyday storytelling belonging to whenua 2
In this presentation, Dr Liana MacDonald (Ngāti Kuia and Rangitāne o Wairau) recalibrates the three elements of the Ministry of Education’s new Aotearoa New Zealand’s Histories curriculum content by placing local and rohe contexts (Know) at the forefront of learning history.
From this perspective, tentatively called Te Whenuatanga o te Tangata, students can explore how national contexts and the curriculum’s ‘big ideas’ (Understand) relate their everyday surroundings through uncanny pedagogies (Do).

Nah this lacks details. Given enough time, even you can produce something like this. We all have access to computers and QGIS, and every town has printing services that will let you print images this big. To me, the king of atlases is the Times Survey Atlas by J. G. Bartholomew. Bartholomew achieved the impossible back when GIS tools, GPS, satellite imagery, digital printing etc didn't even exist. I do some cartography work. But I have the convenience of computers and Internet. Remove those, and I will have no clue where to even begin, let alone be able to produce something as great as the Times Survey Atlas.

STOP THE DAILY BUSINESS OF TREATY BREACHES, FORFEIT THE PROCEEDS OF TREATY BREACHES, END THE TREASON OF POLITICAL DICTATORSHIP BY THE FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION NZ GOVERNMENT OVER AND AGAINST THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE BRITISH MONARCHY AND THE NATION OF MAORI. 50+ Former British Protectorates have gone through a process where at a certain time in history an agreement for rights of nationals/indigenous and the obligations of settlers/crown was signed. Then at another time following this agreement a unification/succession process of the 1st Nations was made to succeed ownership of the estate returning the nation back to its former state prior to colonisation. He W(h)akaputanga 1835 was saluted by a 21 Gun Salute of honor in signing one nation under Maori, where as 5 years later a partnership of two peoples underminded the future of unity and peace, hence the invasion of New Zealand began. When did the partnership turned to dictatorship? In 1840. In a marriage gone wrong divorce proceedings takes place and the abuser must relinguish the reigns of power to the victim in this case the original first signatory of dignatories of the land.

Well it is a video of people engaged in various activities, objects, and moving furniture, but I am left none the wiser as to what the National Library of New Zealand actually does, how to access it, and what there is to look at. (Or even if you can borrow stuff from it or is it a reference library only, and where it is - I am guessing Wellington because that is the capital city.)

This is very much a Pākehā view of protest music in Aotearoa. Māori and Pasifika through haka and waiata and through bands like Herbs, Aotearoa, Dreadbeat and Blood, Styx and Shanty. Upper Hutt Posse and Mana (to name a few) as well as artists such as Moana, Hinewehi Mohi, David Grace, King Kapisi, Tigilau Ness and Maisey Rika (and others) have been right at the sharp end of change. All respect to the members of this panel but it would have been great to see these people represented.

Ain't another woman that can take your spot my If I wrote you a symphony, Just to say how much you mean to me (what would you do?) If I told you you were beautiful Would you date me on the regular (tell me, would you?) Well, baby I've been around the world But I ain't seen myself another girl (like you) This ring here represents my heart But there's just one thing I need from you (say "I do") [Chorus:] Yeah, because I can see us holding hands Walking on the beach, our toes in the sand I can see us on the countryside Sitting on the grass, laying side by side You could be my baby, let me make you my lady Girl, you amaze me Ain't gotta do nothing crazy See, all I want you to do is be my love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love Ooooh, girl My love My love Now, if I wrote you a love note And made you smile with every word I wrote (what would you do?) Would that make you want to change your scene And wanna be the one on my team (tell me, would you?) See, what's the point of waiting anymore? Cause girl I've never been more sure (that baby, it's you) This ring here represents my heart And everything that you've been waiting for (just say "I do") [Chorus:] Yeah, because I can see us holding hands Walking on the beach, our toes in the sand I can see us on the countryside Sitting on the grass, laying side by side You could be my baby, let me make you my lady Girl, you amaze me Ain't gotta do nothing crazy See, all I want you to do is be my love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) My love (So don't give away) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love Ooooh, girl My love My love [T.I.'s rap:] Alright it's time to get it JT I don't know why she hesitates for man Shorty, cool as a fan On the new once again But, still has fan from Peru to Japan Listen baby, I don't wanna ruin your plan If you got a man, try to lose him if you can Cause the girls worldwide throw their hands up high When they wanna come kick it wit a stand up guy (Trust me) You don't really wanna let the chance go by 'cause you ain't been seen wit a man so fly Baby friends so fly I can go fly Private, cause I handle my B.I. They call me candle guy, simply because I am on fire I hate to have to cancel my vacation so you can't deny I'm patient, but I ain't gonna try You don't come, I ain't gonna die Hold up, what you mean, you can't go why? Me and your boyfriend we ain't no tie You say you wanna kick it when I ain't so high? Well, baby it's obvious that I ain't your guy Ain't gon' lie, I feel your space But forget your face, I swear I will St. Bart, St. Bulla anywhere I chill Just bring wit me a pair, I will [Chorus:] I can see us holding hands Walking on the beach, our toes in the sand I can see us on the countryside Sitting on the grass, laying side by side You could be my baby, let me make you my lady Girl, you amaze me Ain't gotta do nothing crazy See, all I want you to do is be my love (Love) My love (Love) My love (Love) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love (Love) My love (Love) My love (Love) Ain't another woman that can take your spot, my love Ooooh, girl My love My love
